Anywhere you look, you can't miss the progress. The ultra modern, clean and "green looking"(are they at the least?) homes popping up all over the place. Some wacky, others really making some sense - but all in all, most of these styles do have something in common. "The straight line of a Modernist". Almost all Chicago developments are inspired by straight and clean lines, big overall wall/floor spaces and of course the window space.

Some of the most inspired areas include; Wicker Park, Buck town , Lincoln Park, River North and North Center. Its hard to imagine that a standard 3 bedroom duplex can be almost 3/4 of a price of a open floor mansion single family home. The price gap between all seems to be consistently moving down as the current price adjustments hits the standard, the above standard and the luxury market.
