Illinois DCEO (Department of Commerce and Economic Growth) introduced a somewhat updated version of its Solar energy Rebate Program (RERP) for the fiscal year 2008. The new version still outlines the concept, which establishes minimum project sizes for eligibility and a flat 30% award level, up to a maximum rebate amount of $10,000. Also, projects with a maximum total project cost of $33,000 to $50,000 will be eligible up to the maximum rebate amount of $10,000. This opens up many possibilities for urban projects ready to be revived in a time when budget and credit availability are a concern.
